The first burn
sets the rest
Coconut Apricot Wax has a memory. Burn to a full melt pool the first time and the candle will burn evenly to the bottom of the vessel.
Trim the wick
Cut the cotton wick to 1/4" before every burn. An untrimmed wick smokes and mushrooms.
Burn to the edge
Let the first burn run two to three hours, until the wax melts to the full 2.75" diameter.
Stop at four hours
Extinguish before four hours. Let the wax set fully before relighting, and keep the lid on between burns.
Retire at 1/2"
Stop burning with 1/2" of wax left. Warm water releases the remainder and the glass keeps its use.
Safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep away from children, pets, and anything that catches.
- Burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from draught.
- Do not burn with the wooden lid in place.

Keep the glass
When the candle is finished, the vessel makes a good drinking glass. Clear the last of the wax one of two ways.
Freeze it
Set the glass in the freezer for a few hours or overnight. The wax shrinks and pops out with a butter knife. Let the glass come back to room temperature before you wash it.
Melt it
Stand the glass on a folded towel and slowly fill it with hot water from the kettle, just off the boil. The wax melts and floats to the top. Let it cool, lift the wax disc out, and pour the water away. Never pour wax down the drain.
Peel off the wick tab, then wash the glass by hand or in a dishwasher before you drink from it.
Go easy on the glass
- Glass cracks under sudden temperature change. Let it rest at room temperature between the freezer, hot water, and the sink.
- Never pour hot water into a cold glass, or move a warm glass straight into the freezer.
- Check the rim and base for chips or cracks before using it for drinks. A damaged glass belongs in the recycling.

Our formulas are 100% phthalate-free, paraben-free, and intentionally crafted without any chemicals listed under California’s Proposition 65. Because our products contain no reportable listed ingredients or harmful solvents, our candles do not require a Proposition 65 warning label.
